Beverage Bottling Plant
Maercon was approached by one of Jamaica's leading beverage companies to repurpose and expand existing warehouse and container offloading facilities; into what is now the home of a world class beverage bottling and packaging plant.
Over 25,000 square feet of concrete slab was cast and interlaced with over 480 feet of stainless steel drains. This provided the base for a vitrified tiling solution; one resistant to chemical degradation, delamination due to mechanical and thermal loading, increased cleaning requirements, and loss of slip resistance over time.
The expanded 28 feet high facility features a depalletizer area with a structural steel frame, reinforced concrete walls, corrugated siding & roofing and finished with an industrial epoxy flooring solution over 5000 square feet. Ventilation and security were aided by the installation of aluminium louvres, wind turbine vents, manual and fast acting electronic shutters.
